uPVC CONSERVATORIES
UPVC or PVCu is by far the the most popular material from which conservatories are
constructed today.
Available in White or Rosewood and Light Oak woodgrain finishes as standard, uPVC
conservatories can also be painted with special uPVC paint in any colour you can
think of.
One of the biggest benefits of uPVC is that it requires little or no maintenance
and is a highly insulating material.
Up until the advent of new generation uPVC frames, uPVC conservatories lacked authenticity.
After all, blocky unattractive uPVC frames with thick black gaskets were not to
every ones tastes. However with fully sculptured and hidden sight line gaskets,
the new generation frames certainly enhance the aesthetic appeal of the modern, well
constructed uPVC conservatory, to all but the most demanding traditionalist.
When choosing a conservatory, other than choosing the style to suit your property
and proposed use, there are a number of points you should look at in depth. A conservatory
can be split into three areas, Building work, Roof and side Window frames.
To ensure that your conservatory will be fit for purpose each of these three sections
needs to be gone over thoroughly to make sure that essential items to the long term
integrity of the structure and every day usability have not been left out. Having
the work done properly in the first place has a value many times greater than the
saving you might make with a company that is prepared to cut corners to appear to
be able to offer a cheaper price.
This is why we have given each of these sections their own page to ensure that you
will be in a position to make a fully informed decision when making your choice of
which company to carry out the work. Don’t forget to make use of our Free Design
Service to get a proper fully specified quotation for your work.
