CONSERVATORY ROOF GLAZING

There are two main forms of glazing a conservatory roof,

Glass or Polycarbonate.  We aim to highlight the pros and cons for each material.  

 

With each product it is important to know what differences there are, for you to make the right choice for your conservatory, so we have given each product its own page.

PROS

More esthetically pleasing.

Quieter when it rains.

Better insulation if the right type of glass is chosen.

Reduce heat build up if the right type of glass is chosen.

Lighter in the room that the conservatory comes off.

 

 

 

PROS

Cheaper.

Good insulation if the right type of polycarbonate is chosen.

Good protection from glare if the right type of polycarbonate is chosen.

CONS

More expensive

CONS

Noisy when it rains.

Does not look as nice as glass.

Makes any room attached to the conservatory darker.

Not as well insulated as the best high tech glasses.
